Global Surf Industries (GSI) is very proud to sponsor of the Noosa Festival of Surfing. Our company mantra is Life is Better When you Surf and there is no better way to celebrate than at this world class event.
GSI operates from its world headquarters in Manly on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. Our wholly-owned distribution operations in Australia and the USA are supported by a large network of distribution specialists in over 50 countries around the world.
GSI was founded in June 2002. After decades of cottage industry-style operations, the time for a better way of supplying surfboards to the international surfing market had well and truly arrived.
Today, GSI has a portfolio of 11 brands. We remain very deliberate and strategic in our brand and model selection. Each caters for a particular type of surfer with a specific level of surfing ability. Whether you are a first-day novice, a beginner, an intermediate, an advanced or elite-level surfer, GSI aims to have the brand and model that is right for you.

Golden Breed: While many surf brands have grown through diversity and now represent the broad spectrum of board riding sports, Golden Breed’s choice has been to stick with the purity of its roots in the surfing lifestyle.
For almost 40 years, the Golden Breed logo has been synonymous with the simple act of riding a wave, and as the surfing culture has spread around the world and the stoke has spread across three generation, the brand statement remains the same.
Embrace the freedom of the ocean. surf big waves and small on shortboards or longboards, one fin or four.
Ride ‘em all!

Noosa Malibu Club: Founded in the winter of 1985, the Noosa Malibu Club will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2010, and the club is stronger than ever, with a membership of more than 100 and a dedicated committee of tireless workers.
Over the years the NMC has nurtured many great longboarders, including current Australian champions Josh Constable and Rosie Locke, the Wilson brothers, and freakish noseriders like Matt Cuddihy. But the club is not simply about creating champions. Surfers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join in the fun, and the NMC prides itself in giving back to those less fortunate.
The Noosa Malibu Club licenses the Noosa Festival of Surfing to its operators, and runs its own annual Wrecks & Relics event for the over 50s – one of the most enjoyable events on the longboard calendar.

smythsLogo

Smyths inc.: For Smyths Inc. to be linked with an international event like the Noosa Festival of Surfing gives us the opportunity to reach a wider audience with people from all corners of the world. From a community point of view we believe it is important to get behind events like this not only because it is great for Noosa, it also helps with our brand awareness.

For myself, surfing is a fabulous way to keep fit, meet and make friends with like minded people who also feel the passion of riding the perfect wave, the perfect wave is one with your friends and feeling the rise and fall of the ocean as you take in the surroundings. Personally, being involved in the Festival is a real buzz….

On a business level, Liz, the other half of Smyths inc. and our team are as passionate about looking after our clients as I am about surfing. Smyths inc. is as much a part of the Noosa landscape as surfers in the dawn light @ First Point.

To celebrate your accomplishments we offer up “Old Guys Rule” to be worn as a badge of honor for a life well spent, but not nearly over…
